Communication Systems
Lecture and classroom instruction in communication systems, communications circuits, and design principals. Fourier series and transforms of communication
systems. System noise sources and definitions. AM, FM, and Phase modulation to include single and double sideband with carrier; single and double sideband
with suppressed carrier. Transmitter systems and circuits used by transmitters and receivers, principles of superhetrodyne receivers, and phase lock loops.
Digital methods of communication and modulation techniques such as delta modulation, PCM, PAM TDM, FSK, PSK, DPSK, and QPSK are also introduced. To be
taken in conjunction with Communication Systems Lab.
