Research Assignment
Do some research on a company that you are interested in (maybe one you would like to work for).
a) Comment on their financial strength using last year's income statement and balance sheet.
b) Comment on their political, economic, social, and technical environment.
c) Comment on their strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats.
d) Comment on some of their products or services identifying them as question marks, stars, cash cows, or dogs.
Use the all available resources and/or the Internet and/or personal interviews to gather your
information. Last year's annual report would be a good source for much of this information. Two
or three pages double spaced should be sufficient for this assignment.
